How long does it take for a fruit shipment to arrive from Spain to Africa or the Middle East? +
Lead times vary by destination and type of transport. In air logistics from Mercamadrid, almost all shipments arrive within 24 to 48 hours. We coordinate direct flights whenever possible to reduce transit to a minimum and guarantee product freshness at destination.
How do you guarantee that the cold chain is not broken during transport? +
Each pallet carries a datalogger and, optionally, GPS tracking that continuously records temperature and location, from the moment it leaves our warehouse in Mercamadrid until it reaches the customer. Upon receiving the goods, the importer can download a complete report and verify that the cold chain has been respected. If at any point the temperature goes outside the agreed range, we notify immediately and proceed with a claim to the airline to serve the customer.
Is there a minimum order volume for export? +
We do not require a strict minimum. Thanks to our groupage service from origin, we consolidate orders of small quantities of many products in a single shipment so that air transport is cost-effective even in small volumes. This is especially useful for importers who are starting out or who need to test the market with a varied assortment.
Do you handle customs documentation and phytosanitary certificates? +
Yes. We manage all export documentation from Spain: phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin, commercial invoices, packing lists, and the specific documentation that each country requires. We know the particular customs requirements of each African, Asian, and Middle Eastern destination, which avoids detentions and delays at the border.

If an incident occurs, the datalogger data allows us to objectively identify at which stage of the chain it occurred, manage the claim quickly, and apply the agreed solution. Our priority is that the importer always has support and traceability.
